In this market most umbrella companies do charge a joining fee, and sometimes a leaving fee. Here at Swan payroll, you will be happy to know we do not charge a joining fee or leaving fee.
You can claim sick pay if the contractor meets certain criteria. Firstly, a contractor must have been on sick leave for 4 consecutive days which includes weekends. That means if a contractor is on sick leave from Friday through to Monday, they are eligible for sick pay.
Yes, we must pay taxes in the UK. The only fee the umbrella company take would be the margin fee, which can be found on the payslip.

Once you have completed your onboarding, and contracts have been submitted to your agency, we then email you with instructions of your login, username, and login password.
When you login into your online portal, you will then be able to see all your payslips in one place.
